Fighting Hunger in the Classroom

Images from a children's photography event I did for the We Did It! School Age Care Society. The event was a Field Day for kids and involved some arts and crafts, games, and plenty of time on the playground. We used the opportunity to create some great photos for We Did It! to use on their website and marketing materials. There were both posed and candid images, and plenty of fun!..©2012, Sean Phillips.http://www.RiverwoodPhotography.com

Did you know that over 2000 kids go to school hungry in Calgary on a daily basis? We are often told that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and it is. Kids who have not had breakfast in the morning before going to school may be more tired and unable to concentrate. It is so important that kids get something to eat in the morning so that they can reach their full potential at school. A healthy breakfast can nourish kids and allow them to be their best at school and at home. We Did It! believes that all children should be given an equal opportunity for a hot, healthy breakfast, as well as a bagged lunch to take with them to school. At We Did It!, we believe that healthy days have to start with breakfast and with your support, we will be able to provide breakfasts and lunches to students while ensuring every child is given the best chance to advance!
