On a Mission to raise $15,000

As a single parent of four, Rebecca was required to work full time to support herself and her children, even during maternity. Her need to work forced her to seek care for her children. The search for adequate childcare was perhaps one of her biggest challenges, as high program fees and two-year waiting lists limited her choices. She soon found herself with no option but to turn to unregulated day-homes where the quality of her children’s care was always a concern.

At We Did It! School-Age Care Society, we believe that every child should have an equal opportunity for quality care despite any financial restraints. In an effort to respond to the need for childcare in Alberta, We Did It! plans to implement a before-and-after school care program targeting young people between the ages of 6-14. We also aim to provide children with proper nutrition though a unique meal program that offers both a hot breakfast and a bagged lunch for school.

With your help, we will raise $15,000 with all donations devoted towards establishing a program space. A secure space will aid needy families and provide children with a safe and nurturing environment where they can develop new skills, cultivate their creativity, and discover new and unique opportunities. The programs that We Did It! offers demonstrates our commitment to quality and affordability, innovation and education, health and nutrition, as well as respect and belonging. We invite you to learn more about We Did It! by visiting our website: www.wedidtschoolagecare.com.

Until Sunday, September 4th, each donation will be matched up to 50%, making today the perfect day to make a difference in one of the following ways:

  • Make a flat donation
  • Become a matching sponsor
  • Make a per-birdie pledge
  • Become an event sponsor

The core belief of We Did It! is that young people are our future. By making a contribution, you will be helping us provide children and their families with opportunities for personal growth and enrichment.

On behalf of Birdies for Kids presented by AltaLink (BFK) and We Did It! School-Age Care Society, we would like to thank you in advance for your kind and generous contribution!
